I am pleased to share that Public Act 24-46, An Act Establishing a Property Tax Exemption for Veterans Who Have a Service-Connected Permanent and Total Disability Rating has been signed into law and will take effect October 1, 2024.

Connecticut is launching a new program that will expand health care to underserved communities while forgiving the student loans of health care workers.

Chief Justice Richard A. Robinson announced that he will retire from the Connecticut Supreme Court effective September 6, 2024. I was proud to have worked with him throughout, and congratulate him on his retirement.

This week is National Public Works Week. Held annually in May, National Public Works Week is a great way to energize and educate the public on the importance of public works in their daily lives. Thank you for all of your hard work!

It was with great pride and joy that I had the honor to host our Bloomfield High School Championship Student-Athletes at the Capitol.

I would like to thank the State Education Resource Center for honoring me with an award for my work on Public Act 19-12. Public Act 19-12 is the African American/Black & Puerto Rican/Latino History bill that I passed into law in 2019
