Thanksgiving is this Thursday. I wish to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. In this season of reflection, I am especially thankful for the unique gift of friends like you, the joy of shared moments and the support that surrounds us.

Great news! The Bloomfield Senior Services has received a Livable Communities Grant from AARP Connecticut! This grant will help create art-themed adventures in the Bloomfield community ranging from trips to local attractions to a meditation and drum circle program.

There will be a turkey giveaway tomorrow, November 18th, from 2 PM - 4 PM at 1021 Blue Hills Ave. in Bloomfield. The giveaway is for Bloomfield residents only - ID is required. Please see the flyer below for more information.

The Age in Place Safely Grant Program application is now open through December 8. If you need help with the application, there will be three intake sessions over the next few weeks. The first meeting will be tonight at the Marilyn Michaelson Senior Center of Bloomfield from 5 pm - 7pm. Hope to see you there!

Attention college students - the application for the CGA Legislative internship program is now live. This is a great opportunity to gain real world experience and learn more about the legislative process.

I am proud to share that the Town of Bloomfield will receive $250,000 though the Community Investment Fund (CIF) program. The CIF planning grant will aid the town in planning for the redevelopment of Bloomfield Center. Specific activities will include a conditions assessments, community outreach and engagement, and establishing an implementation plan.
