Applications Now Open for APCP Low-Income Program

UPDATE: This program is now closed for the year.

The Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg) is now accepting applications for the Animal Population Control Program’s (APCP) Low-Income Program. The online portal, apcp.ct.gov, allows eligible Connecticut residents to apply for assistance with spaying or neutering a dog or cat they own.

November Special Session Sees CT House Pass Bills on Housing, Emergency Reserves, and More

On Wednesday, the CT House of Representatives was called into a special session to address several pressing issues, including addressing the state's housing crisis, approving an emergency response fund to address federal funding cutbacks, safeguarding immigrants within the confines of a courthouse, children's behavioral health, and more. The House passed the bills on Wednesday, and the Senate took them up on Thursday.

Reps. Gresko & Shake Distribute Food at CT Foodshare Event

The Connecticut Foodshare's monthly distribution at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Stratford took place on Monday, November 10. State Representatives Kaitlyn Shake and Joe Gresko joined the Stratford Health Department, Medical Reserve Corps, Stratford YMCA Volunteers, and additional resident volunteers to help Connecticut Foodshare provide food and resources to the Stratford community.
