Get Help With Your Heating Bills
January 22, 2026The State of Connecticut is partnering with Eversource to raise awareness of a variety of programs available to help with heating bills, and keep your home warm all winter.
Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP):
- Click here to apply to get up to $645 towards your heating bill from CEAP.
Energy Efficiency:
- Take advantage of Eversource’s energy efficiency programs, which include incentives and tips to help you save money and reduce your overall energy use during the colder months. Renters will need permission from your landlord to participate.
Winter Protection:
- With proof of qualifying household income or public assistance benefits, your service cannot be shut off between November 1 and May 1. There are also payment plan programs provided by Eversource.
There is also help through your local Community Action Agency (CAA), and you can call the state information line at 2-1-1 to learn more.
