January 8, 2020Happy New Year! As I reflect on 2019 and look forward to 2020, I am grateful to you that I am able to represent our community and I look forward with optimism to what we can accomplish in the New Year. The 2020 legislative session will begin on February 5. As always, I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on the issues facing our state. To that end, I will be holding two events next week and I hope to see you there.

CHFA Launches Loan Program to Provide Additional Assistance to Homeowners with Crumbling Foundations
November 4, 2019The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) has officially launched the Supplemental Collapsing Foundation Loan Program. This new loan program will provide help to homeowners with the associated costs of replacing their pyrrhotite-damaged foundations.

October 22, 2019There’s nothing better than Connecticut in October! I attended lots of great events in Manchester and Glastonbury this past weekend, from “Barktober”, hosted by the great Manchester Dog Owners Group CT (MDOG) to “Empty Bowls” hosted by Foodshare and Manchester Community College, and of course the famous Glastonbury Apple Harvest & Music Festival where I had some fun volunteering on Saturday night.

October 2, 2019The warm weather is still here, but the calendar tells us that summer is finally over - I hope you and your family had an enjoyable one. While the legislative session adjourned in June, our work is never really done – there is always more to do, monitoring and implementing prior legislation and working and preparing for next year’s session.

State Reps. Doucette, Delnicki Express Concerns Over Bank Merger
August 23, 2019Rep. Doucette and Tom Delnicki (R–South Windsor) recently submitted comments and concerns to the Commissioner of the state Department of Banking regarding the proposed merger between People’s United Bank and United Bank, a deal valued at approximately $759 million.
Connecticut Sales Tax Free Week
August 19, 2019Summer is coming to a close and kids will soon be heading back to school. To help working families prepare – and save – Connecticut offers its annual Sales Tax Free Week.
