Governor Lamont just announced that Classes at K-12 Public Schools are cancelled for the rest of the school year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and today, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day!

I am very pleased to announce that today, our Secretary of State, Denise Merrill, announced an election plan for voters to keep people safe and not have a repeat of what happened in Wisconsin a number of weeks ago.

The month of Ramandan has begun, beginning the commemoration of one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Fasting from dawn until sunset, prayer, reflection and being in community with friends and family are the ways Muslims honor this tradition.
