Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month began as a week-long celebration in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded to a month by President Ronald Reagan 20 years later in 1988. It currently runs from September 15th thru October 15th.

Funding for Norwalk

Norwalk is set to receive state funding from the Community Investment Fund (CIF). The CIF Board approved the funding during its meeting on Tuesday. The Carter Community Center is set to receive $3.5 million, and South Norwalk Elementary School will receive $2.5 million.
