Energy Assistance Program Gets Federal Funding Boost
October 6, 2022An additional $1 Billion boost in federal funding to the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), allowing for more households to receive the benefit in the state, has been allocated as part of an emergency supplemental aid package recently approved by Congress.

August 30, 2022President Biden announced he will sign an executive order which will forgive up to $10,000 of student loan debt for individuals making less than $125,000 per year (and couples earning less than $250,000). Borrowers who received a Pell Grant may be eligible to receive up to $20,000 in loan forgiveness.

July 29, 2022Earlier this year, the town of Ridgefield surveyed our elementary schools' playgrounds for their accessibility through the Institute of Human Centered Design. The study revealed that Barlow Mountain Elementary School and Ridgebury Elementary School are the schools that require immediate upgrades and will require new construction to bring the playground into full ADA compliance.
