    Danbury Public Library receives $100k for much-needed upgrades

    I’m happy to share some exciting news!

    During my campaign in 2018, I promised that I would work tirelessly to bring resources back to the 2nd District. As a result of working with my colleagues and Governor Lamont’s Office, Danbury Public Library has just been approved to receive a $100,000 grant from the state during today's Bond Commission meeting. These new funds will allow the library to undertake its first significant renovation in decades.

    The $115 million financing for the construction of a new Bassick High School is moving forward, thanks to the House of Representatives voting to give final approval to legislation authorizing $90.8 million in state bond funding – about 80 percent of the total project cost.
