The landscaper has completed planting along the residential side of Barrier no. 1 (behind Cottage Place) and Barrier no.2 (behind Clinton Ave). Plantings include a mix of pine trees, leafy trees and shrubs. The landscaper has added mulch and an irrigation system.

"This remedy requires the construction of a highway-style barrier and haul road prior to the movement of Raymark Waste from Ferry Creek and various properties around Stratford through the former Contract Plating property to the former ballfield located on Frog Pond Lane."

With support from the state through an open space land grant issued in January of this year, Southington's acquisition of these plots will pave the way for the creation of a wildlife corridor in the Marion neighborhood.
