A sinkhole has shut down part of Route 113 adjacent to Sikorsky Airport and the Stewart McKinney National Wildlife Refuge. Stratford Police made the discovery around 3 p.m. during the ongoing paving project through Lordship.

Drivers can anticipate delays on I-95 in Stratford, Milford, and Bridgeport for bridge work. Crews will shut down lanes on both sides of the highway between exits 27 and 34 starting on Sunday, May 18.

Drivers in Lordship area of Stratford can expect delays for road work on Route 113 surrounding Sikorsky Memorial Airport. Crews will mill and resurface a three-and-a-half mile stretch of the road.

Stratford received about $545,000 in state grants to reduce municipal waste disposal costs and protect our environment.
