Connecticut's Minimum Wage Workers can Expect Wage Increase
June 4, 2019Hard-working families in Connecticut got a boost the other day when Gov. Lamont signed legislation to increase the state’s minimum wage. I ran for office promising to raise the minimum wage because I believe anyone working a full-time job should earn enough to support themselves and their family. This legislation is a promise I kept, and a step in the right direction to benefit about 42 percent of all workers in Danbury.
Paid Family Medical Leave is Sent to Governor
June 1, 2019Today is a great day for Connecticut. After many hours of debate over the Paid Family Medical Leave legislation, my colleagues and I were able to pass the bill, which the Senate had already approved. The bill now goes to the governor.

House Approves Age Increase to Buy Tobacco
May 17, 2019This week, the house took action on a bill I co-sponsored to improve public health. House Bill 7200 seeks to prohibit the sale of cigarettes, tobacco products, electronic delivery systems, and vapor products to anyone under the age of 21.
