The House just unanimously approved pro-business, pro-job growth legislation. The bill establishes an Entrepreneur Learner's Permit pilot program to encourage and assist first-time entrepreneurs in certain business sectors by reimbursing them for state fees associated with forming a business.

New Tool to Track Business Growth

Secretary of the State Denise Merrill recently announced a new tool to track business formation in Connecticut. Her office has worked with the Connecticut Data Collaborative to launch a site, Ctbusiness.ctdata.org, which pinpoints where business activity is happening in the state and makes this data accessible to the public.
