Several new laws that address many issues aimed at improving our great state will become effective on July 1st.

I wanted to share that information that may affect your commute next month. The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has announced that Route 15 southbound Exit 60 off-ramp in Hamden, I-91 northbound Exit 12 off-ramp in North Haven, and I-84 east and westbound Exit 46 off-ramps in Hartford will be closed to traffic beginning on July 10, 2024, for wrong-way detection installations.

No one should have to choose between missing an important family event, going in to work sick and exposing others or taking a mental health day when needed.

We have less than a month remaining in the 2024 session. We have some work to do and the focus will be on our priority bills, including early childcare and education, further protecting our seniors, and the implementation of climate change measures.
