Serving the families of Hamden and the state was an honor and privilege

My recent decision to not seek another term representing Hamden, the best community in Connecticut, in the legislature, and thus also relinquish my post as Speaker of the House of Representatives, was a tough one.

As I begin to reflect upon my time serving the families of my hometown Hamden, as well as the state, for the past 16 years, one thing is clear, it has been an honor and a privilege to represent all of you. I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges, and relished working with my colleagues in the legislature on both sides of the political aisle.

Rep. Tong Leads House In Passage Of Bill Created To Reduce Domestic Violence
