There has been a surge in hate crimes targeting the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. AAPI Hate, a reporting center that started tracking these incidents last March, said they have received 3,795 reports of hate crimes over the past year.

Thanks to Governor Lamont, Telehealth which have provided safe and secure options for healthcare professionals to treat patients during the pandemic – have been expanded and extended through an executive order signed over the weekend.

The 2021 Legislative Session is currently underway. My colleagues and I have been working diligently on various pieces of legislation that will help Connecticut during this public health crisis. 

Governor Lamont has announced a phased rollback of some COVID-19 restrictions. It’s important to remember that while these restrictions are being rolled back as the state begins to reopen, the state is still requiring all residents to wear face coverings or masks in public to limit the transmission of COVID-19.
