I voted against extending and codifying Governor Lamont's existing executive order that allows the public health and education commissioners to make statewide mask requirements in our schools. Despite my opposition, the legislation still passed, and the provisions of the executive order will extend until June, though officials have the option of ending it before.

I'm pleased to announce that our Danbury legislative delegation has secured a $1.4 million grant for renovations to the Danbury War Memorial.

I am proud to stand in solidarity with correctional officers and other staff at Federal Correctional Institution Danbury (FCI) and their protest against unsafe working conditions stemming from chronic understaffing at the federal prison.<

Thanks to legislation I sponsored and passed with bipartisan support in the General Assembly this past session, LGBTQ veterans in Connecticut now have the opportunity to access the state benefits they earned during their heroic service to our nation.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act – a more than $1 trillion federal plan to fix the nation's aging infrastructure – is expected to deliver about $5.38 billion to the State of Connecticut.
