Connecticut has launched a new online jobs portal aimed at assisting state residents — and those seeking to move here — in the process of finding a job.

The new portal - jobs.ct.gov - joins health.ct.gov and business.ct.gov as the next service category in Connecticut's ongoing evolution toward a more digital state government that streamlines and improves access to state services and resources.

As a result of fiscally responsible budgeting by the legislature and governor, significant tax relief is on the way for many Connecticut taxpayers in 2024.

Effective January 1, 2024, Connecticut's minimum wage of $15 will increase to $15.69 as a result of a new annual economic index adjustment. The increase is because of 2019 legislation, which implemented incremental increases in the minimum wage between 2019 and 2023, with future yearly adjustments tied to the percentage change in the federal employment cost index.
