April 26, 2024This week along with colleagues and staff we continued to work hard in a bipartisan way to get the bills from Veterans and Military Affairs ready to go. We are very happy with the bills soon to be coming out.
At this point in the House of Representatives we have voted on HB 5288 the Service Animal bill, hope to soon see HB 5285 An act concerning veteran specialty license plates/License for certain former armed force reservists.

April 19, 2024It was a great day seeing council 4 members rocking the green throughout the State Capitol this week. Great to have discussions about supporting public service workers priorities that include: FMLA for non-certified school staff - Living wages for paraeducators - More wage and hour inspectors - Portal to portal coverage for DPW workers - and Passing the SEBAC contracts. Thank you for your advocacy for justice, dignity, and respect you deserve.

April 12, 2024I was glad to gather at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum last week to celebrate the funding that will create the Lyman Allyn Art Park, a project that will transform the property of the Lyman Allyn Art Museum to a 12 acre urban art park in the the great City of New London.

Today should be considered a great victory and the beginning of a path for hopefully the start of liveable and sustainable wages for all. Today home care PCA services in Connecticut. New London Students Testify, Session Update, and more
March 22, 2024I was so happy to hear and see City of New London, Connecticut Youth come to the Legislative Office Building and testify in the Appropriations Committee Public Hearing on SB 50 Legislation in regards to An act concerning exclusion of aid to distressed municipalities from the spending cap. They did an amazing job advocating for themselves, peers and staff in the Schools.

Funding for the Lyman Allyn Park
March 12, 2024This morning, the Community Investment Fund 2030's Board approved over $1.62 million for the completion of the Lyman Allyn Park - a 12-acre urban park with lighted walkways, sculpture gardens, an event stage, a water feature, and green spaces.
