The federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program recognizes this choice with complete student loan cancellation after 10 years of public service work and loan payments. 2022 Leaf Collection Program to Begin October 31

October 21, 2022

The Town of East Hartford will begin the annual curbside leaf collection program on Monday, October 31, 2022. The program will feature a one-time vacuuming of leaves placed in piles on a tree belt. Leaves will be vacuumed Monday through Saturday starting October 31st until all leaves are collected once along each street. The expected completion date is December 10, 2022.

Trunk or Treat Drive Thru Returns to East Hartford

East Hartford residents are once again invited to join us for a FREE Trunk or Treat Drive Thru, sponsored by the CT River Valley Chamber of Commerce and Pratt and Whitney, in conjunction with the Town of East Hartford. This event will be held rain or shine on Sunday, October 30 from 12 - 3 p.m. on the Pratt and Whitney runway.

Town of East Hartford Offices Closed for Indigenous People's Day

October 7, 2022

All town offices, including the East Hartford Transfer Station, will be closed Monday, October 10, 2022 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. All town offices will reopen on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 for regularly scheduled hours of operation. Curbside trash pickup and recycling will not be delayed by one day and will follow its normal scheduled hours.
