The Veterans with Disabilities Task Force held a meeting last week. In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, the task force centered this meeting around veterans affected by suicide and efforts to direct treatment to our heroes in need. This summer, the Connecticut Department of Transportation is collaborating with state and local law enforcement and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to launch a high-visibility anti-speeding enforcement campaign. The campaign aims to increase awareness and promote safer driving behaviors with increased speed limit enforcement. The campaign will run through September 5.

The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) and its Artist Fellowship program is now accepting applications. The Artist Fellowship program provides recognition and funding support for Connecticut artists to pursue new work and advance their artistic careers. All artistic disciplines are eligible!
