I want to highlight some particularly special funding assignments for the 104th and funding related policy updates to best serve our community. I was able to secure funding for Ansonia and Derby for multiple projects and issues we have in our district!

Cracking Down on Street Takeovers
April 18, 2024On Wednesday, the House of Representatives took bipartisan and unanimous action to help cities and towns regain control of their streets as we voted 148-0 to pass HB 5413 to control takeovers, which have proven to be a concern for many of our residents.
Hosting Virtual Office Hours on March 18th
March 13, 2024I will not be able to hold the regular community coffee events that I host every month. Reaching out through these events is one of my favorite things to do, so I will still be holding virtual office hours that any of you can join on Monday, March 18th beginning at 7:00 pm.

This year’s theme is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion,” which recognizes women throughout the country who believe a positive future can only be achieved by eliminating bias and discrimination from our society.
Millions Approved for Heating Assistance
February 14, 2024Today we approved $17 million in additional cold weather heating assistance funds – many residents and families who receive assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) or Operation Fuel will have access to funds to ensure they can heat their homes through the cold weather season.
Blood Drive at the Ansonia Armory
February 2, 2024Senator Cabrera and I will be hosting a blood drive this upcoming Monday, February 5th, at the Ansonia Armory (5 State St, Ansonia, CT) from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to contribute to our community in a small, everyday way that has the potential to save lives.
