It’s back to school season. So I wanted to take a moment to bring you up to speed on some of the important new laws we passed this session to make sure our kids get the best education possible.

On Wednesday we proudly supported a rally of union representation for workers who are under-represented and as a result underpaid at the Subway, Dunkin' Donuts and McDonald's establishments along state service plazas on I-95, I-395 and Route 15.

I grew up in France where the price of drugs and medications were and still are much lower than they are here in the United States and that includes necessary, life-saving drugs like EpiPens which are used when someone is experiencing a severe allergic reaction also known as anaphylaxis.

I wanted to make you aware of some Department of Transportation information regarding detour and road closures around Route 1 and the Exit 9 Ramp as part of summer-long construction along I-95 and Route 1 which included replacing the Route I bridge over I-95 at Exit 9 in June.

I was proud to support legislation which passed as part of the budget this previous session eliminating co-pays and other out of pocket costs for breast ultrasounds and mammograms, and required health insurance policies to cover breast ultrasound screenings for more women.

We’re just a few days away from a new law taking effect that will help contribute to a better environment.
