As the State of Connecticut continues taking actions in response to the global spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Governor Ned Lamont provided the following updates as of 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020:

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that his administration, under the leadership of the Department of Public Health (DPH) and the support of several state agencies, is launching the State of Connecticut Joint Information Center – or JIC – as part of a coordinated effort to provide critical institutions playing a major role in the response with information on developments related to coronavirus (COVID-19).

As Connecticut focuses on containing the coronavirus, the Office of the Attorney General has received multiple complaints regarding large price hikes in basic supplies like hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.

Governor Ned Lamont today declared a public health emergency and a civil preparedness emergency in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In the midst of the growing global coronavirus outbreak I would like to provide you with the following update based on a Public Health briefing held at the Legislative Office Building and a conference call with the Governor Monday afternoon.
