East Hartford Parks and Recreation is offering an American Red Cross Babysitter Training Course. This course will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9am – 4pm. This course is open to youth ages 11 to 15 and for current/future babysitters.

The month of February is dedicated to American Heart Month, a month long awareness campaign in support of over 120 million Americans currently living with a cardiovascular condition, and to educate ourselves on ways we can prevent and reduce the risk of heart disease.

Official recognition of Black History Month started with a proclamation from President Gerald Ford 47 years ago, to honor the many accomplishments and contributions Black Americans have made to American society. It's a time to rejoice, reflect, and remember. Black history is American history.

Extreme cold weather is expected in the coming days across the state. It is important to be mindful that with it brings increased risks to ourselves and our communities.

All town offices, including the East Hartford transfer station, will be closed Monday, December 26, 2022 in observance of Christmas Day. All town offices will reopen on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 for regularly scheduled hours of operation.

Great news! CareerConneCT is expanding its intake portal. The goal of CareerConneCT is to provide underemployed and unemployed Connecticut residents with resources and training necessary for the pursuit of a well-paying, high-quality career path. The program provides free job training, case management, supportive services, and employment assistance.

The East Hartford Commission on Culture & Fine Arts presents pianist Paul Bisaccia and “Home for the Holidays in East Hartford!”, on Saturday, December 3 at two o’clock in the afternoon at First Church, 837 Main Street, as part of the Town’s Holiday Fest.
