I’m sick that we continue to watch this truly heinous and brutal behavior continue as if it’s okay. As a legislator – but also a fellow Law Enforcement Officer – it’s time for action and I want to call upon my colleagues in uniform to do better. Do not turn a blind eye, do not be fearful or intimidated, we must all stand up and speak out if we want to see these tragedies end.

January 13, 2023The work of the legislative session has really begun! This week we had an organizational meeting of the Committee on Veterans' and Military Affairs. This session, I'm proud to serve as Co-Chair along with Senator Marx. We are looking forward to working together with the members of our committee to assist our veterans and military.

January 6, 2023We are saddened by the passing of State Representative Quentin "Q" Williams - a great friend and a truly cool brother. Q had a smile from ear to ear that lit up the room. I am grateful to God for having had the opportunity to grow, learn and become friends with the great person he was.
