Bipartisan Budget Approved

October 27, 2017

The state budget passed the Senate 33-3 on Wednesday and passed the House by a 126-23 vote yesterday. This is the second budget that has passed the legislature, the first was vetoed. The Governor has not indicated what action he will take on the budget. I am happy that a bipartisan budget has passed and our Towns and Schools will be spared the disastrous cuts in the Executive Order by the Governor. However, I take no pride in the fact that it is October 27th when our job was to pass a budget by June 7th. I share more of my thoughts on the budget in the video below. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you have.
