Dear Neighbor,

I'm thrilled to announce that I've helped secure a grant of $281,840 for the development of the Access Road Arboretum Project in the Town of Stratford. This initiative will revitalize a vacant lot located between Access, Ketcham, and Woodend Roads into a beautiful public green space for the community.

The Access Road Arboretum will feature a designed walking path surrounded by native landscaped areas, providing a space for education, recreation, and relaxation. This project aims to enhance the area's aesthetic value and contribute to environmental sustainability by capturing and filtering runoff during rain events.
This new arboretum will serve as a resource for residents, schools, local community groups, and visitors to explore and enjoy the outdoors. In the future, Stratford plans to connect this space with other parts of Stratford’s “Greenway,” including potential links to Frash Pond and the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge.
Stay tuned for more updates on this project, which will enrich our community and environment!
