CT Post: About 1 million abandoned lobster traps sit on the bottom of Long Island Sound. Crews are trying to clean them up

On a balmy and damp morning earlier this month, Matias led a team that included two scientists from the aquarium, as well as Lucey and an associate soundkeeper. The team was joined by a reporter and state Rep. Joe Gresko, D- Stratford, the co-chair of the legislature’s Environment Committee.
