Charles is a Professor of Geography and Sustainability at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). His academic and research interests include global sustainability, climate destabilization/change, soils, water resources, zero waste, and human-environment interactions. He is Chair of the CCSU Geography Department, founder and Chair of the Global Environmental Sustainability Action Coalition, and is Faculty Chair of the CCSU President’s Advisory Council for Environmental Sustainability.
Leticia Colon de Mejias, Entrepreneur, Author, and Public Speaker
Leticia is the CEO of Energy Efficiencies Solutions and the founder & co-chair of Efficiency For All, both based in Windsor, Connecticut. She is also president of Green Eco Warriors, a nonprofit providing STEAM based education and outreach to urban and at-risk youth.
Sena Wazer, Climate Change Activist
Sena Wazer is a 15 year old climate activist who has been fighting for the environment since she was 5. She is currently the co-director of communications for Sunrise CT and was one of the youth organizers for the Sept. 20 CT climate strike in Hartford, CT. She is a freshman at UConn studying environmental science and lives in Storrs, CT with her family.
