I want to say first that I am deeply saddened by the passing of Anthony "Tony" Spadaccini this week. He volunteered and worked to make things better for the people of the city of Stamford - a Board of Representatives member taken so quickly from us by the coronavirus. He definitely will be missed. I offer my support to his family in these hard times!

I'd like to update you on all COVID-19 (coronavirus) related information as I get it.

As the State of Connecticut continues taking actions in response to the global spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Governor Ned Lamont provided the following updates as of 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020:

Some sad news to report from the latest COVID-19 numbers. There have been 257 new positive tests since Tuesday's update bringing the total tin Connecticut to 875. Approximately 113 people are being hospitalized, and 19 residents have died.

Today's first email includes COVID-19 (coronavirus) updates from the Connecticut Fair Housing Center and how it is addressing client needs during this crisis and I'm also adding a link to the Judicial Branch's website which will catalog how it responding in this critical time as well. In fact. on Tuesday, an emergency meeting oft he Rules Committee resulted in an extension or suspension of many of the court filing deadlines.
