Today, the Connecticut State Senate unanimously passed HB 5430, An Act Concerning Opioids.

Today, in the House, we passed a historic, bipartisan bill aimed at addressing the immediate, intermediate, and long-term needs of the children's mental and behavioral health system in Connecticut.

The solution to the I-95 noise problem will not be easy and will take more work. I am grateful for the work of the community group, specifically the Stop the Noise 95 group, the Riverside Association, and the Byram Neighborhood Association for their strong advocacy in our conversations with the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT). I want to personally thank the governor for his help and consideration of our efforts.

To put money back into Connecticut residents' pockets, we recently passed legislation to suspend our state's gas tax and offer free bus service through June 30.

(HARTFORD, CT) – With the 2022 legislative session well underway and the Committee process starting to wind down, State Representative Jason Doucette (D- Manchester, Glastonbury), House chair of the General Assembly’s Banking Committee, is announcing his support for several bills currently being considered within their respective committees.

Childcare workers have always been an essential part of our economy. While we have done much in recent years to support them, we can clearly can do even more to help increase pay, hire and retain quality staff, and increase the number of kids programs can support. I was happy to offer my support at a rally earlier this week.
