I was was joined by the Diaper Bank of Connecticut, the Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA), and Nurturing Families Network at Day Kimball Healthcare, to advocate in support of legislation that seeks to provide Medicaid coverage for diapers to help struggling families obtain basic necessities to care for babies and young children.

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s (HHF) 2022 Youth Awards educational grants program is now accepting applications! The 24th Annual Youth Awards will award students who are in the graduating Class of 2023 with up to $4000 in educational grants to fund their higher education or to fund a community-based project.

Earlier this year, the town of Ridgefield surveyed our elementary schools' playgrounds for their accessibility through the Institute of Human Centered Design. The study revealed that Barlow Mountain Elementary School and Ridgebury Elementary School are the schools that require immediate upgrades and will require new construction to bring the playground into full ADA compliance.
