It was my pleasure to take part in LEAP’s Read-In last week at the New Haven Green. My group and I had a great time reading The Time Machine by H.G. Wells.

I am proud of the work we have done in the Legislature to expand preschool and early intervention programs for our youngest students. Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance’s incredible advocacy on behalf of the state’s children is so impressive.

I wanted to make sure you were aware of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra’s Family Concert this weekend at Davis Street School. This extraordinary, kid-friendly, performance is free!

Rep Patricia Dillon participated in a roundtable discussion at Clifford Beers Clinic on the family based work of Wraparound New Haven and New Haven Trauma Coalition.

I want to thank Terry O'Connor and the entire staff at the McGivney Community Center, Inc. for recognizing my work this past legislative session. The McGivney Center is a place where children have a safe place to learn and grow and I am proud to be associated with them.

The Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance has named Rep. Jeff Currey a 2015 “Children’s Champion” for his leadership in shaping new legislation that promotes the well-being of Connecticut’s young children in the areas of healthy development, early care and education, nutrition and safety.
