Push for Urgent Climate Action After Historic Flooding

In light of the historic flooding in Connecticut, I have stressed the urgent need for stronger climate action. As the co-chair of the Environment Committee, I plan to reintroduce a climate change proposal in the 2025 legislative session addressing the frequency and severity of extreme weather events by setting stricter greenhouse gas emission targets and encouraging sustainable business practices. The proposal would include provisions such as workforce training for a clean economy and tax credits for businesses that follow green initiatives.
