Expanded Assistance for New Homeowners
July 7, 2023Great news for first-time homeowners! An additional $20 million has been added to the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority's (CHFA) Time To Own Program. Funding for the program - which offers down payment assistance to low- and moderate-income homebuyers in Connecticut - now stands at $80 million, with over $21.5 million currently available for loan reservations.

Traffic Stop Bill
June 7, 2023This week the House of Representatives passed SB 1022, a bill I co-sponsored and advocated passionately for. The bill requires police officers to inform drivers of the reason for a traffic stop - a common practice that will soon be law. This is a commonsense bill that encourages respect for civilians and law enforcement, and I'm so proud to see its passage in the House.
