2020 Major Issues Report
January 17, 2020The non-partisan Office of Legislative Research (OLR) identifies issues based on research requests, studies, and public conversations with legislators and executive branch agencies.
Here are some of the issues that I am most focused on:

Addressing rising healthcare cost by creating a state reinsurance program and a prescription drug importation program,

Transportation infrastructure investment,
-
Looking at measures that will provide relief to senior citizens, including property tax,

Environmental issues including modernizing and enhancing the bottle bill and eliminate the use of pollutants, like PFAS and Chlorpyrifos,
-
Automatic voter registration,
-
Banning flavored nicotine products, and
-
Expansion of Birth to Three programs.
