The Town of East Hartford Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public information session to present the Town's Draft Affordable Housing Plan on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 6PM in the Community Cultural Center Auditorium (50 Chapman Place).

Currey-ently: Education Bill and Weekly Updates
February 3, 2023As I write and edit this edition of “Currey-ently…,” it is almost 5PM and we are halfway through the joint public hearing for one of House leadership’s priority bills, HB5003. This proposed bill that directly impacts and benefits our schools and our communities as well as an overwhelming majority of districts across the state. It comes with bipartisan support and will require an investment in our students, educators, and all those working towards a brighter future for our state. I’ve included some highlights below, but want to stress how important it is that we are all taking the opportunity to educate ourselves on what it means to take action, and possibly even more important, what it means if we don’t. The time is now.
Manchester Delegation Legislative Forum - Feb. 2
January 30, 2023On February 2, 6PM-7:30PM, the Manchester delegation of legislators including House Majority Leader Jason Rojas, State Representatives Jeff Currey, Geoff Luxenberg and Jason Doucette, and State Senator MD Rahman will host a legislative forum open to the public at the Whiton Library, located at 100 North Main Street in Manchester.

Representative Currey Named Chair of the Education Committee
December 8, 2022Speaker of the House Matt Ritter (D-Hartford) and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D-East Hartford, Manchester) today announced the appointments of Rep. Jeff Currey (D-East Hartford, Manchester, South Windsor) as House Chair of the Education Committee.
