In Washington over the holiday weekend, legislation was passed which seeks to provide families, workers, and businesses additional relief to help combat the negative effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

I want to let you know that Community Health Center is now offering pre-registration to help expedite the COVID-19 testing process at their local testing sites.

This year has been a difficult one for so many of our neighbors, so let's also remember to keep those in our community who are struggling in our thoughts.

A new federally-funded grant program – a helping hand to bars and restaurants and other local businesses – will start cutting checks right around New Year's Eve.

With the first COVID-19 vaccines being distributed and administered across the country and our state, we may finally be seeing the light at the end of what has been a long and difficult tunnel.

The Ledyard Housing Authority has received a grant from the state of Connecticut. The grant-in-aid was awarded during the special meeting of the State Bond Commission, which took place earlier today.

Connecticut will be the first state in the nation to require all high schools to offer courses on African-American, Black, Puerto Rican, and Latino studies. High schools will be required to offer these courses by Fall 2022.
