HB 6846: An Act Implementing Crisis Response Drills in Schools passed the House Tuesday 139-9. I’m really proud to have been able to work collaboratively to get this legislation to a place where it earned such broad bipartisan support. But most of all, I’m thrilled that we in the House have taken a meaningful step to keep our children safe and protect their overall well-being.

Last week, we had our third Main Street Working Group Lunch & Learn and it was wonderful to welcome CT Main Street Center Executive Director Michelle McCabe and several municipal partners to the LOB to discuss the importance of HB 6892, an Anti-Blight and Receivership bill.

Happy Friday! As this year's session progresses, there are a lot of bills and information I want to communicate with you all. From now until the end of session, I'll be sending two emails every week: on Fridays, I will email you a legislative update and show you anything happening at the Capitol, and Mondays will feature events in the Fairfield area and any other general information I want to pass along.

The legislature is starting to meet as a full body more frequently, and I look forward to keeping you updated as this session progresses.

We are more than halfway through the regular session, and this is the time of year when legislative activity picks up in the Connecticut General Assembly.
