November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Today I had the opportunity to speak at Advanced Radiology in Trumbull, along with Governor Ned Lamont, to recognize Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. This cancer is hard to detect and is often diagnosed late. Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the country, with a five-year survival rate of less than 12%. My connection to pancreatic cancer is tied to my brother-in-law's mother, who lost his mother much too soon because of the disease. Here are my remarks.
