Property Tax Exemption for Veterans

I am pleased to announce that Public Act 24-46, has been signed into law, effective October 1, 2024. The bill passed unanimously in both chambers of the General Assembly. This new legislation provides a property tax exemption for veterans with a service-connected permanent and total disability rating as determined by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

House Approves Paid Time Off
