East Hartford residents are once again invited to join us for a FREE Trunk or Treat Drive Thru, sponsored by the CT River Valley Chamber of Commerce and Pratt and Whitney, in conjunction with the Town of East Hartford. This event will be held rain or shine on Sunday, October 30 from 12 - 3 p.m. on the Pratt and Whitney runway.

All town offices, including the East Hartford Transfer Station, will be closed Monday, October 10, 2022 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. All town offices will reopen on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 for regularly scheduled hours of operation. Curbside trash pickup and recycling will not be delayed by one day and will follow its normal scheduled hours.

This weekend, several new laws in Connecticut will go into effect on October 1. These laws are a result of my colleagues' hard work during the 2022 session. Below are just some of the laws that will take effect and what they mean for you.

The Town of East Hartford is looking for a dedicated individual to guide and support our evolving Social Services Department. The person selected for the Program Supervisor position will have the opportunity to lead a wonderful team of professionals invested in delivering services that positively impact our residents.

East Hartford Parks and Recreation is excited to announce that registration is now available for our Special Olympics Fall Bowling. This program is open to individuals with special needs ages 8 and up. Returning and new athletes can now register online at www.ehparks.org

From September 15 to October 15 we observe Hispanic Heritage Month to celebrate, recognize, and feature the countless achievements of the many Hispanic Americans who have positively impacted and enriched our communities.
