Reopening the State
State Re-Opening Plan
May 12, 2020Amid the Covid-19 pandemic and daily information on cases and outcomes, we are finally seeing some steady progress towards re-opening.
Thanks to the social distancing measures we put in place and most everyone's cooperation and compliance, we have seen a daily decline in hospitalizations across the state.
As a result, Governor Lamont announced the state will begin a cautious, phased-in re-opening beginning on May 20th.
Federal Aid for Connecticut
April 15, 2020Senator Chris Murphy's office has provided the below breakdown of the aid expected to be provided to the state and local municipalities by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed by Congress in late March.
