Safety Improvement Project on Exit 3A Northbound
November 28, 2023The Connecticut Department of Transportation will be installing a wrong-way detection system at the Exit 3A northbound off-ramp from Route 349 (Clarence B. Sharp Hwy.) in Groton from 7pm Wednesday, November 29, to 5am Thursday, November 30.

November 16, 2023 Good news! The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced the following projects for the installation and revision of traffic signals in Groton and New London are scheduled to start Organizational Phase 1 on Friday, Nov. 24:
Groton - U.S. Route 1 at Ring Dr. & Ella T. Grasso Technical School
Groton - Route 1 at Central Ave & Drive to Bellows Park
New London - S.R. 641 (Truman St.) at Blackhall St. & Blinman St.

$50K in Funding for the New London Homeless Hospitality Center!
October 27, 2023Great news! The Housing Advisory Panel voted on Friday to approve one-time grant funding awards as part of the Interest on Real Estate Brokers Trust Account (IOREBTA) Program, which includes $50,000 for the New London Homeless Hospitality Center.
New Funding for Groton and New London School Districts!
October 20, 2023Great news for our schools: $540,000 is going to the New London school district and $543,123 for the Groton School District to build and expand high-dosage tutoring through the Connecticut High-Dosage Tutoring Program. An estimated 432 students in New London and 864 in Groton will be served by these funds, which target students in grade 6-9 with a focus on enhancing mathematics
