Promoting Arts And Culture In Western CT
March 2, 2016Rep. Bob Godfrey joins Lisa Scails, executive director of the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut, at the State Capitol to promote arts and culture. The Alliance is celebrating its 10th year and is partnering with other organizations to hold the Friends of the Ives' first “Art at Ives, Juried Fine Art & Crafts Show.” The event is June 11-12 in Ives Concert Park in Danbury.

Lyman Hall Athletic Fields Gets Grant
February 8, 2016The State Bond Commission approved $250,000 in funds for Wallingford’s Lyman Hall High School to repair and improve their athletic fields. As Lyman Hall and the Board of Education have worked hard to repair and improve the substandard athletic fields, it is very helpful that the state is also willing to contribute a portion of the cost. Everyone shares an interest in protecting our student athletes.
