St. Bernard School 60th Anniversary
August 31, 2016On Monday I attended the St. Bernard School’s 60th anniversary and participated in the ribbon cutting for the school’s recent renovations. As a graduate of St. Bernard, it’s great to see the school making improvements that will benefit students for many years to come!
Bill Signing for Student Data Privacy Law
July 26, 2016Earlier this month Fairfield resident Jenn Jacobsen and I participated in a ceremonial bill signing for a law to protect student privacy by imposing certain restrictions on the use and sharing of student data. PA 16-189, An Act Concerning Student Data Privacy, will go into effect on October 1.
Congrats To The Mighty Quinn
July 26, 2016Hooray for The Mighty Quinn foundation. A $2,116 state grant in support of the arts has been awarded to the Mighty Quinn Foundation of Stratford for providing artistic and educational opportunities to our young women and men. Helping them achieve success we enhance our own community.
New Website for School Information
July 11, 2016The Department of Education recently announced the launch of EdSight, a new website for public school information. This interactive portal makes data about school districts accessible to the public.

$76 Million CT. Grants For Stratford Schools
June 8, 2016Rep. Joe Gresko joined members of the legislative delegation representing Stratford in securing $76 million in grants for the town's school construction projects. The General Assembly approved the funding and Governor Dannel Malloy signed the measure into law last week.
