The House of Representatives passed three autism related bills during session on Wednesday. I could not think of a better time to discuss these bills than in April, which is Autism Awareness Month.

The Connecticut House of Representatives is in session today and I am happy to share that a bill I introduced has passed (121-26).

The $115 million financing for the construction of a new Bassick High School remains on track. I’m very happy to report that today my colleagues on the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee unanimously voted to approve legislation authorizing $90.8 million in state bond funding – about 80 percent of the total project cost.

The Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority (CHESLA) announced an update to its scholarship program commencing with the 2019-2020 academic year. The program will include a focus on health and manufacturing certificate programs.
