I am pleased to share that Covered Connecticut has expanded to allow adults without children to apply for the program and will now provide dental coverage and non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) benefits.

If you or someone you know is a recent high school graduate headed to college or university, I have some important information to share with you! The deadline to apply for financial aid through Connecticut's free community college program is fast approaching. Students looking to take advantage of the Pledge to Advance Connecticut (PACT) program are encouraged to apply by Friday, July 15.

Tomorrow, July 7, the Department of Revenue Services will host a webinar to discuss the 2022 Connecticut Child Tax Payment. If you would like to learn more about the payments, we passed in this year's budget adjustment, I encourage you to participate.

The Connecticut Summer at the Museum program is returning for the 2022 summer season. Starting Friday, July 1, all children and one accompanying adult will receive free admission to over 90 museums across Connecticut. This program will be offered through September 6th to all Connecticut children, ages 18 and under.

Reminder - all East Hartford residents to license their dogs by today, June 30, if they have not done so yet. By state statute, all dogs in the State of Connecticut six (6) months or older must be licensed each year during the month of June in the town where they reside.

A number of new laws that my colleagues and I worked on during the 2022 legislative session to implement meaningful change in our state will take effect in Connecticut on July 1, 2022.
