Renters' Rebate Applications Now Open

Dear Neighbor,

If you or someone you know is elderly or disabled and currently renting housing, the Connecticut’s Renters’ Rebate Program is now open.

Applications are being accepted through October 1 and eligible renters may be able to get a rebate up to $900 for married couples and $700 for single persons.

Applications for New Paid Family & Medical Leave Program to be Accepted Starting January

Dear Neighbor,

I am pleased to announce that Connecticut's landmark Paid Family and Medical Leave Program will start accepting applications for claims of qualifying events on or after January 1, 2022.

Under the program, which the legislature passed in 2019, eligible workers will be able to take up to 12 weeks of time off work for certain qualifying events without losing income.
