Some of the best and brightest young minds in the state visited the State Capitol on Wednesday. The Kid Governor and its Cabinet stopped by the House Chamber to experience what it’s like to debate and vote for bills in front of our colleagues

The House of Representatives passed a resolution on Wednesday approving a state constitutional amendment allowing you to decide if we amend the state constitution to allow no-excuse absentee voting.

I’m proud to announce the Connecticut Audubon Society (CAS) Coastal Center at Milford Point is receiving $750,000 in federal funding.

After weeks of holding public hearings, the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee and Appropriations Committee approved their respective budget proposals. The next step is negotiations and compromise.

The Judiciary Committee voted to approve legislation to reduce gun violence, including mass shootings, community violence, domestic violence, suicides and accidental shootings.

There will be changes for some of our most vulnerable individuals and families who are on Medicaid and SNAP benefits.
